HAF was created with the goal of introducing Japanese culture to the world through
the international exchange of Japanese pop culture fandom.
With the support of Tokyo International Airport Terminal, the Ministry of Economy,
Trade and Industry, and many more companies, the first HAF was held in March 2015.

This year, with the goal of promoting even more cultural exchange throughout the world,
the second HAF will be held March 12-13, 2016.

We are truly grateful for everyone’s cooperation and support of our event.

We hope you will enjoy our event, a simple adaptation of the “COOL JAPAN” vision
of exporting anime music and cosplay culture to the world, all under the roof of
Haneda Airport’s International Terminal.

With this festival, Haneda airport connects Japan and overseas through cultural exchange,
and we hope that it becomes an event where one can renew in their experience the splendor
of Japanese culture.

In cooperation with the large festival organizers among the 8 countries that we visited on
LOVERIN TAMBURIN’s world tour, we invite artists local to each event to participate
in a performance at our festival.

We’ve prepared a number of areas for cosplayers to enjoy at our event, such as the famous
Nihonbashi, Festival Plaza, Edo Koji, and the Observation Deck, making full use of the various
attractive features the airport has to offer.

「世界中の日本ファンとの交流!」をテーマに日本文化の更なる国際的発展を目的とした
本フェスティバルを東京国際空港ターミナル株式会社、経済産業省支援の元、
また多くの企業にご賛同頂き、2015年3月に初開催を致しました。

また、本年度は2016年3月12,13日に「更なる海外との交流」をテーマに掲げ、
第2回目の開催をする運びとなりました。

開催にあたり協力頂いております全ての皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。

日本から世界に発信された「COOL JAPAN」のシンボルであるアニソン・コスプレが逆輸入
という形で、日本の玄関口である羽田空港国際線ターミナルでお楽しみ頂けるイベントです。
本フェスティバルを通じ、羽田空港が海外と日本をつなぐ「文化交流」の場となり、
改めて日本文化の素晴らしさを実体験できるフェスティバルになればと思います。

本フェスティバルは、私どものロックバンドLOVERIN TAMBURINが2016年度に行った
8カ国でのワールドツアーで連携した海外大型フェスティバルのオーガナイザー、
またそのフェスティバルから選ばれた各国の代表シンガーを招待し、
音楽コンサートを予定しております。

また空港施設の魅力を最大限生かし、新名所のはねだ日本橋をはじめ、お祭り広場、江戸小路、
展望デッキ等を利用したコスプレイヤーの皆様にも楽しんで頂ける場を用意しております。

In November of 2011, we kicked off our world tour in Toulouse, France.
To me, it was one of my biggest challenges.
What I gained through performing at all the festivals in over 10 different countries
is the realization that "So many people around the world LOVE Japan."
It was a sort of shocking feeling you can never truly grasp unless you experience
it for yourself. Everyone in every city we visited on the tour was so kind and welcoming.
No matter what kind of unexpected troubles happened during the tour,
they would go to any length to help us through it.
I was so touched by their sincerity and wondered if I could do the same if
I were in their shoes.
Then, I began to think about how fun it would be if I could invite these warmhearted
people with so much love for my country to Japan,
and that was the very thought that started HAF.

In the fashion of the festivals held in their respective locales, we gather those from each country
or culture, and collaborate to express the essence of humanity and our future as one world.
By coming together under one roof at HAF, I hope that the organizers and artists from these festivals
around the world can share in the same feeling that we experienced, here in Japan.

2011年11月、フランスのトゥールーズ公演から私たちの世界ツアーが始まりました。
そしてそれは私のひとつのチャレンジのスタートでもありました。
これまで10ヶ国以上のフェスに参加した中で、私が特に感じた事は
『世界中でこんなにも日本が愛されているだ』という事です。
それはとても衝撃的で、実際行ってみないと分からない事でした。
そして、どの国へ行ってもみんなが私たちにとても丁寧に接してくれて、
トラブルがつきものの海外ツアーですが、どんな事があっても親身になってくれる彼らの
対応に感動し、もし私が逆の立場で果たしてここまで出来るだろうかと、
自分を省みる機会も沢山ありました。
そんな、ツアー先で出会った日本好きの情熱家達を日本に集めて、みんなで語り合えたら
楽しいだろうなと思ったのが、この羽田フェスの開催のきっかけです。
各国のフェスで当たり前のように見られる、互いの国籍や文化を認めあい
助け合い、協力しあうピュアな姿に、人としての原点と、未来を感じています。
世界中のフェスからオーガナイザーやアーティストがHAFに集う事で
ここ日本でも、私たちが体験したFeelingを分かち合うことが出来たら嬉しいです。
